Lesbian, gay, or bisexual identification among younger U.S. high school students has fallen sharply, according to CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey data analyzed by San Diego State University psychologist Jean Twenge and reported by The Washington Post. Among ninth-grade girls, LGB identification dropped from 30% in 2021 to 17% in 2025. Bisexual identification in that group fell by half, from 26% to 13%. Among ninth-graders overall, LGB identification fell from 17% in 2023 to 11% in 2025. Twenge said the change "really does look like a free fall," but that the cause is unclear. The CDC's 2025 YRBS is a nationally representative survey of students in grades 9–12. Coverage citing the agency's data guide put the usable sample at 10,710 questionnaires from 108 schools (30.6% overall response rate). Twenge's percentages exclude students who chose another identity, were unsure, or said they did not understand the question. The Williams Institute's Jody Herman cautioned that Twenge's write-up did not include confidence intervals. It's been two years since we lost Liam Payne, but we'll always remember the 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 that made him so special. 🕊️ (📸: Getty Images, Liam Payne/X)
The air is crisp but we have fabulous sunshine in the afternoon. Long may it last 🍂 The blazer has made its first appearance. I put a very fine knit sweater underneath as you can never second guess the weather at the moment. This belt 🤎 and boots I will be wearing on repeat so hope you don’t get bored The ladybirds 🐞 have arrived in the kitchen for the winter. Sadly not nearly as many as last year. It maybe due to the long hot summer or the pesticides the farmers use. I would put a picture on my stories but there is no way of hiding the cracks in the wall 😊 The clothes including some coats went to the charity this morning. I was told why are you giving that away I bought it for you? Because I haven’t worn it for 20 years. It’s from Reiss and black and white stripe. Such good quality but it never was my style but sometimes a wise head says nothing We were going out tonight but the animals are all in bed. I have made carrot and coriander soup and the jacket potatoes are in the oven. I just need to open the wine and light the fire for a perfect evening and the money I saved I can buy a new coat 😂 I am joking Have a lovely Friday evening x Blazer, Belt & Sunglasses: @hollandcooperclothing Leggings & Sweater: @uniqlo Boots: @fairfaxandfavor Pearls: @beaverbrooksthejewellers #autumnstyle#autumnoutfits#luxurylifestyle#fashioninspiration#countrychic
