A lovely Halloween evening yesterday @theseahorseguildford which is located in the heart of the picturesque town of Shalford. They had a live band performing who were excellent and I will definitely be wanting to see them again 🙌🏻 “Bring them back”! 🤪 Yet another wonderful refurbishment and this time instead of being mostly open plan, they have areas which are more private with about 6 tables in each so you can choose to be out in the open or not, depending on what kind of day/evening you are wanting. What I chose… Starters from the main menu… PAN-FRIED WILD SCALLOPS, Artichoke purée, smoked pancetta, samphire. ROASTED BEETROOT, Whipped Goat’s cheese, butternut relish. All the food was really good, but I was surprised just how good this roasted beetroot salad was 😋 Main from the main menu… 7OZ FILLET STEAK, served with red wine caramelised onion, triple-cooked chips, parsley butter and peppercorn sauce. Main from the specials menu… ROTISSERIE CHICKEN PAPPARDELLE, sautéed mushrooms, porcini & madeira sauce, shaved parmesan. This chicken pasta dish was out of this world so delicious so much flavour 🤤 I another thing I love about this Mitchells and Butlers country pubs is that they have a great selection on the main menu but then each individual pub has a different specials menu. So if you are regular to these lovely pubs like me, you’ll never get bored of the food 🙌🏻 #invite #theseahorseguildford #countrypub #guildford #guildfordrestaurants

Sausages of the World! 🌭 A sausage can tell you a lot about the place that made it. What goes into the casing depends on the meat people raised, the grains they grew and the spices they had at hand. Some recipes were shaped by the need to use every part of an animal; others became foods people seek out for their own sake. Look past the shape and you’ll find a remarkable number of ways to make a sausage. Which one would you try first?
Five students on their way to seek IT placements crushed to de@th by a Logistics truck along the Ijebu–Epe Road Tragedy struck along the Ijebu–Epe Road after a GUO Logistics truck reportedly veered from its lane and collided with a bus travelling in the opposite direction. The bus was said to be carrying students who had travelled from Gombe to Lagos in search of Industrial Training (IT) opportunities when the devastating crash occurred. Five people reportedly d+ed at the scene. They were identified as Isiyaku Sa’idu, Maigana Mohammed (Abbati), Anas Abubakar, who was the driver, Zaiyanu Bajoga and Abubakar Ibrahim. However, concerns have emerged over the alleged conduct of GUO Logistics representatives following the crash. According to a statement concerning the incident, some company representatives were allegedly more focused on protecting the company’s image than assisting the victims, with one staff member reportedly attempting to remove the company’s name from the truck. The statement also claimed that, as of the time it was released, there had been no confirmation that GUO Logistics had contacted the families of the deceased or adequately addressed the medical needs of the injured victims still receiving treatment. “This is unacceptable! Human lives must matter more than corporate reputation,” the statement declared. It further called for a thorough investigation into the crash, stressing that the families of the deceased deserve justice while the inj¥red victims should receive proper medical attention. “GUO Logistics must answer serious questions about this incident,” it stated, adding that the circumstances surrounding the de@ths must be fully investigated and responsibility established. The statement maintained that although the lives lost cannot be restored, accountability must follow, insisting that “No company should be allowed to place its reputation above the lives and dignity of innocent Nigerians.”
