Happy #Wednesdaytonaday gang!

Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted a Rolex Daytona. For me it is chronograph perfection and the chronograph is a complication I’ve always been obsessed with, I even got married wearing one.

And so, to borrow a phrase, ‘I’ve done a thing’. Or at least, I did a thing and have subsequently been dancing around how best to talk about this for a while now…

In fact, I’ve owned this 2018 Rolex Daytona 116500LN since July… 🙈

So here’s a long overdue #nwa post, I’m sorry for the delay, it’s been a busy Summer and securing my absolute dream watch has completely knocked me for six - for a long time I just couldn’t believe it was true!

Hence I’ve been having a fairly low-key time of it on Instagram and just been busy wearing the hell out of this incredible piece privately, for me, not the ‘gram.

But ultimately, how could I not share this momentous occasion with you, the #watchfam?!

There’s more to this story, which I’ll share in due course, but suffice to say it involves A LOT of consolidation and a large dose of Man Maths (TM).

For now, TODAY is my Daytona Day 🖤

What a day on the sideline looks like for Jenny Dell 🎤

A little reminder to slow down, take a breath and romanticise the little things 🥹💗✨

Life has been a little lifey lately, and sometimes we need to take a step back, fill our own cups and remember that we don’t have to have everything figured out.

The last 5 years have taught me so much about living in the present, practising gratitude and taking life one day at a time. Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves of the things we already know 🤍

Because life is happening right now, girlies. Not when we reach that goal, not when we have everything sorted, not when we’re finally where we want to be. RIGHT NOW. 🌷

So put the washing out, do the hair mask, have the everything shower, put on your fresh PJs and watch Gilmore Girls. Find joy in the ordinary. Be kind to yourself. Take each day as it comes.

This little visit to earth is far too short not to enjoy the little things 🫶🏼💕

Tell me, what’s your favourite way to re-centre yourself when life feels a little overwhelming? 💗👇🏼

I recently lost everything in a house fire. I haven’t really talked about it much, but I’m still struggling to believe the home I poured my heart into and nearly everything I owned is gone.
An electrical fire broke out while I was inside. I tried everything to stop it, but it spread too quickly. I escaped, then stood outside watching my entire life’s work, savings, and irreplaceable memories disappear in a matter of minutes.
Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, but if you can donate or share my GoFundMe, it would mean more than I can say.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness and support.

Somehow “Hello” just became an emo anthem

Making their Like A Version debut, daine deconstructed Martin Solveig and Dragonette’s 2010 dance-pop classic and rebuilt it with distorted guitars, live drums and raw alternative energy.

Backed by Kirin J Callinan, Soren Maryasin, Ezekiel Padmanabham and Anna Cusack, the cover folds emo, hardcore and dark electronic textures into the song’s instantly recognizable melody.

Sixteen years after the original became a global dance crossover, “Hello” sounds completely different without losing the hook that made it unforgettable.
