One of the most influential figures of 19th-century Portuguese culture, Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro built his legacy through caricatures and ceramics. He founded the Fábrica de Faianças in Caldas da Rainha in 1885, where, to this day, @bordallopinheiroofficial remains faithful to that heritage, honoring ancestral manufacturing techniques and the naturalistic motifs that have always been at the root of its designs.
This month we introduced two styles from Bordallo Pinheiro — each one hand-painted and imbued with the history that makes the company so special.
