Nine documentaries in, Zara McDermott is still pushing against the assumptions people made about her after Love Island. “I haven’t followed the conventional path that someone who comes out of Love Island normally would,” she tells Cosmopolitan. Her films have taken her into worlds far removed from the usual reality TV star trajectory, exploring intimate image abuse, rape culture, stalking and eating disorders. Now, she’s working alongside Lancashire Police on her latest documentary. In her October digital cover story, Zara talks about forging her own path and why she wants to be involved from the very first idea. Read the full interview at the link in bio. FLASHBACK FRIDAY! 💪🏽🏆 Oh, the memories! 1993❤️ The muscles, the medals, the moments! Looking back at this photo reminds me of a time when bodybuilding was my entire world. The training, the discipline, the sacrifices, and the incredible rewards. I had no idea where this journey would take me or how much it would shape the woman I am today. I’m going to start sharing some of my favorite memories from back in the day. Some you may remember, and others you may be seeing for the very first time! Who remembers this era of women’s bodybuilding? 👀 #FlashbackFriday #LendaMurray #MsOlympia #BodybuildingHistory #WomensBodybuilding BodybuildingLegend

How do you film and photograph a behaviour that has never been documented before? For our team, the answer was three years of tracking and creative problem-solving in the field. This is the story behind “Urban Architect”—Marie Bell’s (@mariekbell) photograph recognized at this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Natural History Museum (@nhm_wpy #WPY62), which shows a magpie stealing a coat hanger to build its nest.    The Formosan Blue Magpie is one of only two known birds in the world—alongside the crows in Tokyo—documented using metal coat hangers to build nests. While Taipei residents occasionally spotted these strange nests, this stealing behaviour had never been fully documented before this photo.    Proving it on camera took our crew three years of fieldwork for our upcoming feature documentary Wild Taipei (@wildtaipeifilm). In this clip, Marie shares what it really took: building a network of local tip-offs and reacting in seconds to document this incredible behaviour on film and photos for the very first time.    Having our work shown at the Natural History Museum is a huge milestone, but this image is just one chapter of what we have filmed and photographed for Wild Taipei. Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY)
