The Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car that Tesla first showed as a prototype in 2017, promising production by 2020, but nearly nine years and several delays later, no customer has received one. The redesigned version was finally unveiled on October 15, 2026, at a SpaceX test site in Texas, where it used compressed air thrusters to launch off a ramp and flip in midair, and Tesla claimed it can go from 0 to 60 mph in under a second. Production has not started yet, and the reported price is between 200,000 and 250,000 dollars.
