St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker stole the show at Citizens Bank Park, silencing a heavily pro-Phillies crowd by defeating Kyle Schwarber 30-29 in the final round of the 2026 Home Run Derby. Facing the hometown favorite in front of 43,863 fans who spent most of the night cheering Schwarber and Bryce Harper while booing nearly everyone else, Walker delivered an unforgettable comeback by crushing home runs on his final six swings to walk it off.
After the victory, he embraced the hostile atmosphere with the now-iconic line, “I was once told you don’t boo nobodies, so it feels pretty good, yeah.” The win made Walker the first Cardinals player ever to capture a Home Run Derby title and earned him a $1 million prize—more than his entire 2026 base salary of $799,400.
