2 months agoSo what is the Perseid meteor shower? As the Earth moves through the debris left behind by the Swift-Tuttle comet, small particles travelling at about 133,000 miles per hour, hit our atmosphere and appear to catch fire and streak through the sky. Up to 50 to 100 shooting stars are seen every hour, often leaving wonderful trails. If you missed it , you have another opportunity to see it tomorrow tonight as the moon is still barely there.
