Tony Hynes

Yesterday my son, Alex Hynes, had 2 super fights in the same day. First one at Philly Phenoms against an opponent that a lot of people on Instagram said he had no chance of beating. Alex won by knee bar in 25 seconds. This promotion also opens up doors for PGL.

On the second promotion, Subversiv, Alex lost a very close decision to a very tough opponent from California. During the rules meeting, the promoters told everyone that they were handpicked by them for a reason. They don’t care if you win or if you lose: “Just put on a fuc*ing show. That’s what everyone is paying to see.”

Put on a show is definitely what they did. It was action for the full 6 mins, never any stalling or playing it safe. It was submission attempt after submission attempt.

Super proud of you, Alex Hynes, and all of your hard work and dedication to the sport. And a huge thank you to everyone who has supported him in his journey. Way too many people to name—you know who you are!

Let’s keep pushing, Alex Hynes. You are on your way to the TOP!
