A father created an app to explain a 2,400-year-old paradox to his daughter, showing why your fingers would never touch if you kept dividing the distance between them in half. The idea comes from Zeno, an ancient Greek philosopher. His paradox asks a simple question. Before you can reach a point, you must first travel half the distance. Then half of what’s left. Then half again, and so on, forever. By this logic, your fingers would keep getting closer without ever reaching each other. To help his daughter understand this, Japanese creator @kakouton2bro built an interactive 3D app that lets you explore the paradox yourself. You start with your thumb and index finger about 3 cm apart. Each tap halves the gap, taking you from visible fingerprints down to cells, molecules and eventually the scale of a single atom. After 27 halvings, the gap reaches just 0.332 nanometers. Of course, your fingers can touch in real life. The paradox explores how we can cross a distance even though we can divide it into infinitely many smaller parts. The creator used Claude Opus 5.5 to help build the app and shared the prompt he used. Here’s the prompt: “I’d like an app that intuitively represents Zeno’s paradox, created using 3D graphics with vectorized finger images and three.js. The gap between the index finger and thumb can be narrowed analogically using pinch-in and sliders, or digitally halved precisely using taps and buttons. The gap can then be enlarged by pinching out. Because the fingers are vectorized, a clear outline will initially appear, revealing a fingerprint. Further narrowing the gap, and then enlarging it with pinch-out and sliders, will reveal cells. The final stage should be at a scale where you can grasp a single atom. I’d like a cool UI using motion graphics, with a well-organized grid size and placement, and consideration of the golden ratio. Android and iOS, and Japanese/English language switching should be considered from the initial stages of development.” What are your thoughts on this? 🤔💬 🎥: @kakouton2bro on X
These AI versions of Drake’s “Burning Bridges” video are getting out of hand 😭 (swipe) Song: Burning Bridges - Drake 🎥: @jake.visualss_ @downey.ai Drake released “Burning Bridges” on May 15 as part of his ICEMAN album, alongside an official music video featuring a party scene with Drake and others dancing in a room filled with chandeliers. Now that same scene has become the template for a viral AI trend, with creators replacing Drake and the people around him with characters from The Office, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, WWE and more. “Burning Bridges” debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, peaked at No. 13 on the Canadian Hot 100 and has now surpassed 70 million streams on Spotify. It pulled over 20 million Spotify streams globally during its first charting week, and nearly five months later, the music video is getting a whole new wave of attention again.
