Our first Kukini Messenger Run is in the books. 🌺
Saturday, August 1st at Poka’i Bay, runners from every generation hit the road, from keiki to kupuna. Small but mighty, and exactly the start we needed to build something bigger.
Huge mahalo to Wai’anae Run Club for helping spread the word, to La Ho’iho’i Ea Wai’anae for welcoming us into their celebration and sharing their tent, and to Clint Kalaola of Kala Foundation and Kaina Holomalia of E Ala Voyaging Academy for showing up in support. Mahalo to board members Ku’ike and Ulu and their families, and to Tammy Jones, Brad and Pamai Fita, for volunteering alongside our own KG ohana.
This was just the beginning. Mahalo for the feedback, we’re already building a stronger Kukini Run for next time. 🏃🏽♂️
