To wrap up my summer teaching tour, I visited two more places to guest each. One of them was @osipovaballetacademy in Mountain View, California😎 Five days filled with many inspiring classes, I left California very much recharged!! Thank you @marina_osipova74 and Vadim Osipov for inviting me and for your great hospitality and fun times!
Until next time😊

SISTAS, we got us! 💗✨

Charlotte was full of sisterhood, real conversations, and a whole lot of love as we came together for BET’s “We Got You Sis” experience in celebration of Tyler Perry’s @sistasonbet ! 💕

As a BET Next Gen Ambassador, it was such a special opportunity to be part of the magic behind the scenes, connect with incredible women, and have meaningful conversations around sisterhood and mental health.

And a special shoutout to the powerhouse that is @yourfriendtrin_ ! Working alongside you was truly a pleasure. 🤎

Because beyond the cameras and entertainment, there’s something special about Black women coming together, pouring into one another, and reminding each other that we don’t have to navigate life alone✨

Here’s to more spaces that remind us WE GOT US! 🥹✨

Well it's been a week, I can tell you.
The great cutback and tidy up of 2026 was commenced. The sun shone (and despite this it was freezing).
Crumble has retreated to her blanket.
It was all going so well until I sat down to read my favourite column in the whole world, only to see that after 25 years @itsmarinahyde announced she was retiring from the Guardian.
To put this into context, only just last year I decided that I was going to be Marina Hyde when I grew up.
A truly brilliant, original writer. Irreverent and acerbic and laugh out loud funny. In the days of CheatGPT and Misanthropic's Fraude, she was the human who proved that human writing was still the goal they were falling short of.
It's been a blow.
Her book arrived today which will be superb. It takes a lot for me to buy a book (see above about Swedish death cleaning and emptying my house of all belongings), but exceptions have to be made.
I will regroup and get myself back outside again this week, there is much more to do and the box caterpillars are needing a firm talking to as well (now is the time for biologics if you use them).
If you are sitting on your hands and not sure what needs doing for the garden, now is the time also to think about ordering your spring bulbs (alliums, tulips etc) but don't put them in the ground until much later. I wait until Christmas, (and then another week because the ground is invariably frozen 😂).
For anyone who enjoys a bit of classical music, this is your reminder to listen to BBC radio 3 this Wednesday 19.30. My son's choir singing Carmina Burana, and not to make it all about me but the noisy audience member cheering for them might have been a certain gardener 😂.
Happy Sunday to you beautiful people.
We made it 🥳💚🌿
