Well, did we have fun this weekend or what?? The brightest part of my day was getting to spend some much needed time with my kids who I missed dearly and get to spend a few hours to walk them around the festival! I never really get to do that at Huntstock but I finally got to experience a little bit of what it's like to be an attendee at this crazy thing we all built together. I've always heard about how great it is to bring your kids to the show and I have to say I'm very impressed at how all the vendors are so great to the kids. Randy Flannery gave my son a big bear hug and a compass, and told Austin to come up to do some fishing and he'd even teach him how to use it it. Sherman Cookers offered us fresh bacon and pizza. Every vendor had a smile on their face, stickers, or lollipops, or something for the kids and you could tell they were truly happy to be there. It means a whole lot to see how much everybody cares about Huntstock and get to experience the REAL sense of community with the steady humm of good times as background noise. I may be biased but boy was being attendee was really fun. The hunting community is alive and well - thanks everyone and good luck hunting this fall!
