An unexpected last min trip turned out to be the perfect summer destination: Malta 🇲🇹

Alex Pretti, a 37 year old intensive care nurse and Minneapolis resident, became the focus of nationwide outrage after he was fatally shot by federal immigration agents in Minnesota. His death sparked protests, memorial gatherings and renewed scrutiny of immigration enforcement tactics, with many Americans demanding accountability and an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At the site where Pretti died, residents have reportedly begun leaving their red “I Voted” stickers as a symbolic tribute. The growing collection represents more than a memorial, with participants using the stickers to express their opposition to federal immigration enforcement and their determination to make their voices heard through the democratic process. The tribute took place during the November 3, 2026 midterm elections, with similar stickers appearing at a memorial for Renee Good, another Minneapolis resident fatally shot by a federal immigration officer in January. Both deaths remain the subject of public controversy, while their families continue seeking answers and accountability.
