@tobycampion treated the Jawdance audience to a preview of what we can expect from his upcoming poetry collection. Gardy Loo was inspired by an altercation at a drag show on the way back from a pride celebration, and is performed first in polari and then in standard English.

Toby's is an award-winning poet, playwright and educator. He's also one of the UK's most consistent champions of polari — a poetic and subversive slang used by gay men and queer people when homosexuality was illegal in the UK.

Jawdance returns to our home @brxhousetheatre in September. If you'd like to join us in the audience or on-stage, you know where to click.

"They want your dance floor, not what's buried underneath it" is such an amazing loaded sentence. Could I use it in a Pride art piece with credit to you and your permission?
