This is what research and scholarship are all about: doing work that matters, having your peers recognize its importance, and knowing that others will have the opportunity to learn from it and, hopefully, use it to make a difference.

I am incredibly excited to present at the 2026 ASHA Convention alongside Ivonne Maldonado-De La Rosa on a topic that is especially meaningful to us: Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and dysphagia.
