Something out the window caught my eye this past weekend. I realized it was a butterfly, but couldn’t tell what kind.
.
Once I got outside, I realize how huge it seemed. As it flew from sunflower to sunflower, I tried to get a few pictures on my phone, but I knew it wasn’t doing it justice. By the time I got my big camera & got back, it was gone.
.
In looking at my images & comparing online, I think it was a Great Spangled Fritillary. It was beautiful!
.
The very next day, the sermon at church was on Esther. I love the story of Esther, but I’d never heard it shared this way before. The preacher spoke of the boldness in the passage.
.
Specifically, Esther’s bold faith. She prayed about the issue. She fasted about it. And then she moved on it, knowing that she could die, but trusting that the Lord’s Will would be done, regardless.
.
Esther wasn’t held against her will or in a terrible place. But she knew she had to step out for her people. She knew she had to take a leap of faith for God’s chosen nation.
.
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
.
You’re probably not in a dangerous or threatening place either, but are you living out your position? Are you being bold in your faith for the benefit of others? Are you stretching out the beautiful wings God gave you to do His Will?
.
Be BOLD for the Kingdom of Heaven.
.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV
