$These red shapes that appeared above a village in Corsica are called red sprites, and most people have never seen one. Sprites are flashes of light that appear high above powerful thunderstorms, between 40 and 90 km up, and they last only a fraction of a second. To capture these incredible shots, the photographer studied the forecasts and the viewing angle in advance so the sprites would line up with the village. And it worked just perfectly well! By: @florian.riou$
