Double the work [1]

This work aims to visually represent the irregularity inherent in crocheting a surface. It makes use of human imperfection in craft processes.
To achieve this, a 18 x 18 cm surface with a width of 40 stitches was crocheted. A circle was then drawn on both sides. The surface was unraveled and crocheted again with the same dimensions.
In theory, if one crochets with the same thickness, tension, and regularity, the circle should reappear in the center.
It does not.
For one thing, the yarn isn’t completely dyed through, causing white spots to appear among the blue; for another, the circle initially shifted by 20 stitches before drifting off to the side in the upper third.
Nevertheless, if you know it was a circle to begin with, you can still recognize it.

So if you draw the final pattern on a finished square and then undo it and recrochet it again, would you end up with a circle?

It's kinda giving grief because at first it's overwhelming. Like it's all of you/the focal point/etc. but eventually you're able to change through time and therapy and what not so that way you're able to carry the love that you had for that person (or thing or so on) with you. It's still a part of you, but it isn't all that you are.

I think that happened because you started backwards. When you unraveled the knitting and wound it up, you started the new knitting from the end.
