Small Beginnings. Big Impact. ❤️👶🏽
I am honoured and excited to be speaking at the Small Beginnings, Big Impact Neonatal Symposium at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Neonatology is more than a specialty to me—it is a calling. There is something profoundly rewarding about caring for a newborn who weighs barely a kilogram, whose future may depend on the quality of care provided in the first few hours and days of life.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of caring for critically ill newborns, teaching healthcare professionals, and contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening neonatal care in Nigeria. These experiences have continually reminded me that small beginnings can indeed lead to big impact.
At this symposium, I look forward to sharing knowledge and experiences, learning from colleagues, and contributing to meaningful conversations around improving survival and long-term outcomes for newborns.
Because behind every statistic is a baby.
Behind every baby is a family.
And behind every intervention is the possibility of a better future.
Every newborn deserves a chance to survive, thrive, and reach their full potential.
