Joy indeed. Buckets and buckets of pure joy, hard work and love have filled my days as a Banana. I never would’ve dreamt up this opportunity, yet here I am living my childhood dreams of playing ball and performing with the most talented, passionate, kind, generous, dedicated group of humans I have ever met. What a gift. And to quote the maestro himself, “We’re just getting started!” ;) - @yellowtuxjesse LOVE YOU BANANA NATION!
The subscription economy has turned everyday technology into a recurring expense. Cloud storage, home security, ad-free browsing, and even basic communication increasingly come with monthly fees. But there’s an alternative: devices that let you store terabytes of data at home, back up photos without cloud subscriptions, block ads across your entire network, and send messages miles away without cellular service. Many of these technologies have existed for years, yet most people have never heard of them. They’re a reminder that owning your technology can be more powerful than renting access to it. John Boyega kept the family business close, and now he’s letting us in on the joy. The actor has welcomed a baby boy and shared celebration photos with actress Tae Heckard, along with a sweet video of himself cradling his son. “Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now, but thank you for all the well wishes,” he wrote on Instagram. The update follows his recent Guardian interview, where the Star Wars actor revealed he’s been married for nearly two years and spoke about becoming a father. Although he didn’t name his wife in that conversation, Heckard’s Instagram profile reads “Tae Boyega.” In the photos, the pair embrace with their hands resting on her baby bump, surrounded by blue-and-white flowers. Congratulations to the growing family, and welcome to the diaper shift, John! Read more at ESSENCE.com.
