ISO 12800 low-light test: FX5 vs A7RVI vs A7V vs A7SIII
All shot at 4K25p.
A7RVI and FX5 came out nearly identical, which tracks since they share almost the same sensor, even without A7R6 having that third native ISO.
A7SIII was the softest of the four with the least detail, not shocking given its age, but it still holds its own.
The real winner for me was the A7V. The downsampled 7K sensor pulled out noticeably more detail, and that extra detail means you can push noise reduction harder in post without losing as much sharpness. #SonyAlpha #A7V #A7RVI #a7siii #FX5

I own the a7V and it is good and second base iso is great but being capped at base iso of 800 to 8000 creates this awkward jump when using slog 3 I shoot in poorly lit gyms and middle ground iso would be a dream on the fx5 Plus I have noticed if you are focused on pushing highest quality video and still want sharp raw images out the a7V you will have issues doing the hybrid part on max quality in both ! I kept getting a stuck readout glitch when trying to switch from raw video to photos
