the relationship i once found so difficult to navigate is now my most precious. no one teaches you how to be a mum, and there’s no guidebook on how to be a young woman navigating this planet for the first time 🕰️

this piece was incredibly vulnerable but necessary for me to explore. the mother / daughter dynamic can be beautiful, it can be heartbreaking & it’s all the other emotions in between.

ageing is a wonderful thing & it’s taught me to see my own mother in a different, more sympathetic life.
