In ancient mythology, there were ten suns which were actually ten 3 legged ravens and a divine archer shot down nine suns to save the world from burning. Such a symbolic coincidence to be making this work on the day the sun is shadowed by the moon.

NEWS | Wilson Joseph, known as Lanmò San Jou, leader of the 400 Mawozo gang, says he is ready to participate in talks and is requesting United Nations mediation as El Salvador deploys troops to Haiti. Bloomberg has also reported on the gang’s call for peace talks.

In a letter dated November 1, 2026, addressed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Joseph asks for a delegation to facilitate dialogue between the gang and international forces. He says he is available to receive the delegation and discuss a peaceful resolution.

The letter criticizes Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele’s statements and warns of further violence against civilians. It also alleges civilian casualties in the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, including children and pregnant women. Those specific allegations remain independently unverified.

El Salvador deployed troops following the disappearance of four Salvadoran aviation technicians in Haiti. The request for mediation does not establish that the UN has agreed to talks, and its receipt of the letter remains unconfirmed.
