There are so many moments like this that many of us never share because acts of kindness and service aren't meant for applause. Every now and then, I catch a glimpse of the young man my son is becoming, and my heart just feels so happy knowing that his light will hopefully brighten someone else's day.
He quietly gives his time more often than he probably realizes. I'm sharing this moment because as I sit clicking "❤️" on so many wonderful posts I realize amongst the busy agendas and goals we all hope to check off our list.. he isn't just signing up at a convenient time..he goes knowing every time we park and say " where do you need us" that he is missing out on friend time, bball pick up games, playing at the lake and whatever other fun experiences are waiting. The thing is, he doesn't feel like he missing out. He embraces that his time there is exactly where he is supposed to be and wants to be. He is 100% present with a genuine smile..feeling lucky to be there. The world always has room for a little more kindness.
