Did you know ‘wonder’ has a flavour? And I found it at @uri_buri_akko … in every course, in every conversation, and in the quiet genius of legendary Chef Uri Jeremias.
Uri’s incredible knowledge of fish and seafood, his inclusive multi-faith, multi-cultural kitchen, minimalist dishes that pack a big punch, and his Saint-like appearance and approach to life… just some of the things that make URI BURI (‘Uri’ is Chef Uri, ‘Buri’ is the Hebrew name for Grey Mullet) a destination restaurant, drawing people from all over Israel, and the world.

Honestly I can’t explain in words the experience of tasting the Salmon Sashimi with Wasabi sorbet, the Meagre Steak Fillet, the Barramundi with Cauliflower Puree and a handful of other honest, humble, clean, local and seasonal seafood dishes that we tried. It was an emotional, humbling and spiritual experience for me, something that will stay with me for a long, very long time.

All I can say is this… THIS is what I travel for, what everyone should travel for.
