3 months agoWhat a great lineup. After Groundwork broke up I remember seeing absinthe play with Still Life, Swing Kids and Wellington in Chandler, AZ at a small church called the Vault at night that Lybernums drummers dad was the Pastor of. Still have the flyer. Then after absinthe broke up I saw 400 years and UNWOUND open for FUGAZI in Phoenix in 1995. The Groundwork guys played in some killer bands that played in the Phoenix metropolitan area quite a bit. So glad I still have my absinthe 10" The 1st release on @kotmrecords as well as the AMNESIA 12" compilation with Wellington and Lyburnem and the XXX "Some Ideas Are Poisonous" 12" compilation with @policyof3_official and @groundwork_az on it an @policyof3_official discography 2XLP All 3 released on @ebullitionrecords and the "Lacking Mindset" 7" compilation with @groundwork_az, Honeywell, Struggle and Unbroken on it on Spoon Fed Records and the repress of @groundwork_az "today we will not be invisible nor silent" on @kotmrecords & @protaginc 4 great record labels and great Arizona bands minus UNWOUND from Washington and @policyof3_official which are New Jersey's finest!
3 months agoDave J. says the 3rd band might have been Iconoclast. There should be a photo of the whole crew in front of Brendans lawn.
3 months agoSo, Sparkmarker? Maybe, I dunno. Too many cobwebs in my skull to know for sure.
3 months agoOh man!! My mom still talks about some of the Groundwork guys sleeping on the front lawn.
