3 months agoYESSSSSSSS!!!! I’m typing this out on an iPhone XS, writing my story on an 8 year old MacBook, and wearing pants I’ve had for 5 years and a top I recently got at a thrift shop. The makeup I have is dusty AF in its little organizer. I’m also all about experiences than things…unless it’s books. I do buy books. Mainly because I never want to return a book after I’ve read it, lol. Can we be besties?
3 months agoYes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Also, apothecary diaries and video games?! Say less! I've always been the "set your own fade" kind of girl since I was a toddler. Why follow trends and try to be someone else when you can just be yourself?!
3 months agoIt's getting more and more rare to see underconsumption on social media, where it feels like everyone is posting about overconsumption.
3 months agoI’m unfortunately the same in the opposite way. I’m a maximalist. I love things and it often clutters my life and aesthetic and I’m sorry but I’m happy in my little pile of junk lol
3 months agoI love this. I wanted to become part of Bookstagram to share the love of books. But I love how you stated your love for stories (movies, books, tv, etc) because I'm the same way! ❤️ Being known on socials was never the goal; it's actually kind of exhausting. Lol
3 months agoI can relate to the clothes and the makeup. We are also under consumers
3 months agoI am you! I try so hard to fit in, but with unaesthetic stuff all around me and on me, I don't 🥀 but if underconsumption is a trend, count me in ❤️ happy to have found my tribe!
