Tara’s living in her dad’s childhood apartment in Elmhurst, Queens when Sudha, an older woman, shows up at her door. Suddenly, Tara finds herself back in 1986 with her 12 year-old dad watching Game 6 of the Mets world series. When Mookie Wilson, the star Mets player, mysteriously disappears from the field, Tara and her dad go on an adventure to find him. Meanwhile, Sudha is desperate to intercept her runaway daughter before she leaves Elmhurst for good. As the two women navigate this day in the past, they consider what it would mean to go home, and if it’s even worth
returning.
