I read a quote today that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about:

“The amount of good things in your life depends on your ability to notice them.”

It made me realize that somewhere along the way, I became someone who noticed the negatives before anything else.

I’d assume the worst before giving the best a chance.
I’d play out every possible disaster in my head, convincing myself I was just being “prepared.”
I’d expect things to go wrong because it somehow felt safer than hoping they’d go right.

The strange thing is… your mind will always find evidence to support whatever story it’s telling itself.

If you believe people will disappoint you, you’ll notice every time they do.
If you believe life is against you, you’ll collect proof of that too.

But what if we trained our brains to look for what’s working instead?

Not toxic positivity. Not pretending hard things don’t exist. Just giving the good an equal chance to be seen.

I’ve started noticing the little things more lately—a quiet morning, a message from a friend, my body carrying me through another workout, a beautiful sunset, laughing until my stomach hurts.

The more I pay attention to those moments, the more they seem to appear.

Maybe the amount of good in our lives isn’t changing.

Maybe our attention is.

The universe works in mysterious ways, this showed up for me when I genuinely needed it. Thanks for reminding me what I needed to remember 🩵
