Auntie’s baaaaack and there’s a new dating demo to discuss: women over 35 who have a life they love, an ex they don’t want and a future they’re still figuring out.

On thee @yourfavoriteauntieshow Season 3 premiere, @sophia_roe and Auntie get into the experience of dating after 35, when you’ve built your career, found your people, made your apartment a sanctuary, and finally figured out what you’re willing to spend your money on (the nice hotel room AND the microneedling, thank you very much). You’re more confident in who you are, but that doesn’t mean figuring out what comes next is any easier.

And then there’s the question of kids, the pressure of the biological clock, and navigating a dating pool that looks very different from the one our mothers knew.

Here’s what we’re getting into:
💖What dating looks like when you’re no longer willing to settle
🪽The particular freedom—and uncertainty—of starting over after 35

Because building a life you love is one thing. Figuring out who gets to join you in it is another.

At least four people—including three children and one adult—have been killed following an active shooter incident at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. Law enforcement officials initially estimated that up to five people may be dead, noting that the death toll remains preliminary as investigators continue to clear the scene.

The shooter, identified by law enforcement sources as a 16-year-old male, is also dead. He was shot and killed inside the school shortly after the attack began, though authorities have not yet confirmed if he was neutralized by arriving police officers or by a bystander.

The Bend Police Department received a 911 call at 12:59 p.m. reporting a man firing a weapon into a vehicle outside the school. Within a minute, multiple additional emergency calls reported that the shooter had entered the building and opened fire.

Beyond the immediate fatalities, at least two wounded victims were rushed by medics to a local hospital. Their medical conditions have not yet been released.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers from local agencies, the Oregon State Police, and the FBI responded to secure the building. Officers conducted a room-by-room sweep to safely evacuate between 400 and 450 students alongside the school’s staff members.

The school district established a designated family reunification point nearby at Journey Church. Authorities have requested that parents and community members avoid the immediate perimeter of Silver Rail Elementary while the scene remains under active investigation. (📸: @gettyimages)

दो बहनों की कथा 😱 Part 3

As polls indicate Democrats could take back the US House of Representatives, and possibly the Senate, lawmakers are gearing up to investigate the Trump administration. But that may prove to be a difficult task, even with a majority in both chambers of Congress.

In late September, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report on Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency titled “DOGE: Congress and the Public Lack Assurance That Systems and Data Were Protected at Multiple Agencies.” In it, the GAO revealed that multiple executive branch agencies had refused to fully cooperate with investigators about the extent and nature of DOGE’s access to sensitive systems and information. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which DOGE and the Trump administration gutted in the early months of the president’s second term, sent GAO a letter accusing investigators of bias and alleging the report was “misleading.”

The report, just the latest example of the Trump administration seeking to dodge congressional oversight, raises questions about what—if any—avenues the legislature has to enforce accountability, or even access basic information about what the government has been doing.
