“You can jail a revolutionary but you can’t jail the revolution. You can run a freedom fighter around the country but you can’t run freedom fighting around the country. You can murder a liberator but you can’t murder a liberation.”
— Chairman Fred Hampton

Who would have thought a little girl from the Bronx? Some days I can’t even believe it. God will really seat you at tables you’ve never imagined. I had the honor of breaking bread with @officialchairmanfredhamptonjr and his powerful mother Akua Njeri. I’m still in awe! These are the very people whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom inspire me to keep doing this work.

Every step of the journey has prepared me to be here. To sit, listen, learn, and be poured into by my elders is something I’ll never take for granted.

Here’s to carrying the legacy forward, honoring those who paved the way, and continuing the fight for freedom and liberation ✊🏾🤎
