Audience discretion is advised: This post contains descriptions of violence against a young child.

The court heard that the couple would also abuse the baby in other ways, such as by slapping, hitting, and squeezing him until he turned purple.

Text messages read out in court showed that the couple communicated about an incident when the baby did not respond to the woman when she tried to feed him.

In one message, the man told her to shake the baby as he did, but not to be "very violent", in case it "damage the brain" and the boy "become autistic".

She replied that she shook the baby's head "[almost] 180 degrees".

English has a remarkable ability to capture ideas and experiences through a single word. Some expressions have existed for centuries, while others have entered the language more recently, reflecting how vocabulary continues to evolve.

Many uncommon words come from other languages, literature, and historical traditions. Their meanings often reveal fascinating connections between language, culture, and the way people interpret everyday life.

Learning less familiar vocabulary can strengthen reading comprehension, improve communication, and help us express complex thoughts with greater precision. Sometimes, discovering one new word can completely change how we describe something we’ve experienced for years.

In Indonesia, HighEnd magazine honored Miss World Joheirry Mola with the Global Beauty & Purpose Icon of the Year award, while Miss Indonesia Audrey Bianca received the Beauty With Purpose Leader of the Year award. Congratulations, ladies!

And don’t forget: Miss Indonesia 2026 will be crowned later today!
