ǣlīhte

Flame scrying is one of the oldest forms of divination.

Long before cards or leaves or runes, people sat by the hearth and let the fire answer their deepest questions and offer up its prophecies.

Æled is the Anglo-Saxon word for fire. Speak this charm aloud as you watch the flames, and notice how they move, where they lean, how high they climb, what colour they turn.

What do you see?

This charm is my own, written in that same old spirit, not a historical text.

Save this one for your next quiet night by the fire 🔥
