Also, call the number on the back of your insurance card and request to know what overrides are available on your insurance plan and if any are applicable in your situation. Overrides literally override the Too Soon To Fill claim rejection error in your pharmacy's system. ✌️❤️ But don't call a random number. haha I worked placing these overrides on rejecting claims at one point and people call the most random numbers trying to get through to someone. 😂 Also, some medications are more carefully controlled than others. (Sadly, sometime super necessary meds.) Good luck to anyone struggling with this! And please be patient because sometimes the computer system that places the override is truly not designed for this purpose whatsoever and will not allow the claim to go through even when it definitely should and your customer service rep could end up waging an unnecessary war with a ridiculous user interface for you. 🤦‍♀️

I've had the problem of the pharmacy getting behind/delayed and I dissociate after about 3 days. It's so bad. I have trouble communicating because I can't tell if other people are real or not.

That happened to me a few years ago. I live in Pennsylvania but was on vacation in San Diego. I forgot to pack some eye drops I take for Glaucoma. I went to CVS and was able to have my prescription transferred and filled.

Once I accidentally threw out all of my seizure medication because I read the expiration date wrong and I went straight to the ER and they gave me a 60 day supply of my Keppra 🫢

That feels so complicated 😭😭 I will never again complain about the Polish prescription system. Basically, all I need to do is log into my online medical account and show them my past prescription, and in case of an emergency, the pharmacist will give me a refill

Upsetting to see people saying state insurance won’t approve it. We haven’t ever had a problem with state or private insurance. And it’s happened a few times in our house 😮 Never be afraid to make multiple calls with something important like this

Some insurance plans will authorize early refill usually 1x/calendar year for lost/destroyed/stolen meds if you call them. A lot of times the issue isn’t that there’s no prescription but that there are restrictions on early refills. Depending on the medication you may also be able to pay out of pocket at a discounted cash price depending on your pharmacy’s policy

reminder that medicaid won’t care that it’s an emergency and wont approve it even if you doctor calls it in as emergency 👍🏻
