Photographer @sarhaniy has spent years documenting Ta’sheer, a traditional performance practiced in villages around Mecca and Taif. During Eid al-Fitr celebrations, weddings, and festivals, young men perform synchronized jumps while firing muzzle-loading rifles downward, creating brief moments of fire and smoke in the air. Their movements require incredible timing, athleticism, and coordination, often performed alongside traditional drums. The tradition has been passed down through generations and remains part of celebrations in the region's communities. → The performance is practiced by experienced performers only! By: @sarhaniy
