Today marks 4 years since I stepped onto a stage for the very first time as Kat Zowthabag✨

So it feels like the perfect time to finally share this shoot I did with @jxnmiles
(Fashionably late to the @medeawards look post party)

Four years ago I walked into Mollies to do Drag Roulette with absolutely no idea what I was doing. I ended up having to perform solo, wearing a hacked-up Cotton On dress, black gloves, a flat blonde wig, and more confidence than experience… on a school night mind u 🫣

Since then my brain chemistry was seriously altered and I haven’t looked back since. I had the option to study dance fulltime but something about draaaag just scratched an itch and I spent every Monday for rest of year 12 exhaaausted coz I had been out dancing in a wig every Sunday evening after that first drag roulette I attended.

I’m really proud of this look, not just because of how it turned out, but because it reminds me how far I’ve come from that first performance.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me over these last four years. To the performers who believed in me early on, @xenaghost my sister from day one ! @tequilaschmockingbird for encouraging me and believing in me at the beginning of my journey, and to my drag family now for continuing to challenge and inspire me @maxdragqueen @isisavisloren
