Day 325 of Collecting Otakus (18689/20000)
Brook's laugh made this scene 100 times better! 😂🤣
Prior to this moment, Sanji had suffered the humiliation of having a poorly drawn, hand-sketched face on his official bounty poster because the World Government camera lens cap was left on during his Enies Lobby photo shoot. The hilarious poster quickly became a running joke, but no one could have anticipated the absurd reality behind it. When the Straw Hats encounter Duval, the leader of the Rosy Life Riders, they are stunned to discover that Duval’s actual face is an identical replica of Sanji’s crude bounty drawing, leading Duval to target Sanji for ruining his life.
In this iconic clip, the Straw Hat Pirates finally see Sanji and Duval standing side-by-side. The uncanny, identical match between Sanji’s infamous bounty poster and Duval’s real face proves too much for the crew to take seriously. Franky, Robin, Usopp, and Nami remark on the unbelievable statistical impossibility of the situation, while Brook completely loses control, rolling on the ground in uncontrollable, hysterical laughter. When Sanji angrily tells Duval to just change his hairstyle or grow a beard to stop looking like the poster, Duval experiences an utter epiphany, having somehow never considered that option before. The combination of Duval’s realization and Brook’s legendary laughter makes this one of the most memorable comedic moments in the entire series.

Seeing Duval in that mask was prolly triggering for Sanji, now that we know his backstory
