Louisa Muller, stage director, brings the twisted and murderous underbelly of 1880s London to the stage tonight with a new production of Kevin Puts, composer and Mark Cambell’s Elizabeth Cree. For her debut at Music Academy of the West she partners with scenic designer Timothy Mackabee, lighting designer Yuki Link, costume designer Ashley Soliman, and choreographer Matthew Steffens. Ben Manis conducts the musical forces as the search of a killer ensues in the riveting score based on Peter Ackroyd’s Gothic thriller, The Trial of Elizabeth Cree.
