Catholic Eagles

Please give a warm welcome to one of our new FOCUS missionaries, Claire Hoover!
Claire Marie will be joining the FOCUS missionaries this year at GSU.

Where are you from and where did you attend college?
“I’m from Cumming, Georgia, and I just graduated from the University of Georgia. Go dawgs!!” 🐶🐾

Favorite Bible Verse: “Think of what is above, not of what is on Earth.” Colossians 3:2

Favorite Saint: “Pope St. John Paul II. I love him because his passion for the phrase ‘Be Not Afraid’ has been instrumental in my understanding of the goodness and closeness of God, especially in moments of suffering.”

Why did you want to become a missionary?
“I became a missionary because pursuing intimacy with Christ has radically transformed my life, and I want other students to experience the same freedom in abundance!”

And what are you looking to accomplish this school year?
“Something I hope to accomplish this year is to simply help students know Christ more deeply. If even one student can say they know Christ more intimately after this year, I would consider it a great accomplishment!”

Stay tuned to meet our next FOCUS Missionary! ✨
