“Crush” is an analogue series exploring the emotional landscape of women under the gaze of digital culture. The project contrasts soft, nostalgic imagery with the harsh psychological toll of comparison, self-surveillance and the curated self. Through natural light, soft colour palettes and performative poses, I blur the line between empowerment and exhaustion. They depict young women negotiating hyper-visibility, the paradox of being constantly looked at but rarely seen. “Crush” does not aim to moralize, but to capture the feeling of being seen too much and not enough all at once. Through the images, I tell a story of digital decay, reflecting how constant connectivity can erode self-worth and reveal the quiet violence of living online.
