I love this entire story and how they’ve slowly started to fall in love. I love how they support each other through their trauma with laughter. I love their playful banter and sincerity. I love their forward communication and unabashed affection for each other.

This volume in particular has lodged its way deep into my heart. The juxtaposition of Jiang Cheng trying to hold onto the only thing he has left in this world to keep himself grounded and Gu Fei trying to push down any hope of taking flight is so beautifully written.

I’ve heard that volume 5 will bring me pain and will be heavy on the heart so I know I should probably wait to read it until vol 6 (the final volume) comes out in October, but I will be reading it IMMEDIATELY cause I miss them already.
