☆ SHELFIE SUNDAY ☆ ft. my new shelf which lets me spread out and better display my danmei, baihe, manhwa, and manhua 😍 I hope y’all are having a great Sunday! I’m trying to catch up on my spooky TBR, what are y’all currently reading? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #danmei #shelfie by @sailr_mars
☆ SEPTEMBER 2026 MANGA WRAP-UP ☆ ☆ Favorite read: Smile! (Vol 1-2) @kodamatales I legit could not put this one down! The lore and the characters are so captivating and the story equal parts creepy and compelling! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!! ☆ Least favorite read: Koharu and Minato (vol 1) Honestly I was so bored, the story was fluff heavy with no real substance and the grown ass adult was messing with a high schooler - def not for me. ☆ Most excited to continue: Punks Triangle Stitch (vol 1) @sevenseasentertainment I love them and I really hope we get more soon! ☆ Special mention: Ao Haru Ride - I read vol 1 via a campaign through bookinfluencers and loved it so much I binged the rest through the viz app! Highly recommend this story for shojo lovers! What were y’all fave reads of September? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #manga #mangareview #mangarecommendation by @sailr_mars
☆ SHELFIE SUNDAY ☆ ft. a part of my @squareenixbooks shelf and two of my favorite series ever! ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #mangacollection #mangashelf by @sailr_mars
☆ AUGUST 2026 MANGA WRAP-UP ☆ ☆ Favorite read: Walking in Your Tracks; Vol 1 @tokyopop (Rated 16+) This is when you definitely have to check trigger warnings for. I really enjoy the perspective this story takes. It’s raw, vulnerable, and at times uncomfortable, and I’m just so excited to see where this goes. ☆ Least favorite read: Something’s Wrong with Us (Vol 1-3) When I saw people talk about this series, I was expecting to be on the edge of my seat and completely enthralled, but I’m just a little bored right now. I’m thinking that’s because I’m only three volumes in, so I’m looking forward to getting more invested in this story! ☆ Most excited to continue: The Credits Roll Into the Sea (Vol 1) @darkhorsemanga This is such a beautifully written story, and now that they have their goal set, I’m really excited to see how it plays out! ☆ Special mention: Hand in Hand with Mu-chan @yenpress and Half is More @vizmedia - both of these volume ones made me cry for very different reasons, I just love the story that they’re telling and I really am excited to read more! And I think if you haven’t already, you should definitely try out both of these! What were y’all fave reads of August? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #manga #mangareview #mangarecommendation by @sailr_mars

☆ JULY 2026 MANGA WRAP-UP ☆ ☆ Favorite read: Run Wild (vol 2-5) @sevenseasentertainment - I literally cannot stop thinking about this series! It’s the perfect combination of young love, found family, and wanting something so bad despite it being nearly impossible! I cannot recommend this danmei enough! Everyone needs to read this! ☆ Least favorite read: A Boring Man and an Extraordinary Man - This was so boring and I felt like the non-con was the whole point of the story and there was absolutely NO character development. ☆ Most excited to continue: Summertime Rendering (the story is just so captivating and I wanna see where it goes) & Blue Summer Haze (I normally don’t like love triangles but this one is written well). ☆ Special mention: Champion of the Rose @vizmedia - Another one i definitely recommend for everyone to ready! It’s world building, Filipino inspiration, and trans & queer representation is phenomenal! What were y’all fave reads of July? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #manga #mangareview #mangarecommendation by @sailr_mars
☆ That doesn’t make what I did go away ☆ My Summer of You (vol 3) The Summer with You; The Sequel @kodanshamanga Don’t y’all love it when a plot point from a previous volume comes up again in a later volume? I remember reading volume one and being a little annoyed that the main conflict at the end was kind of brushed over. So I love that it was readdressed in volume 3 and actually resolved through communication. It just solidified my love for the characters and made me fall in love with the series all over again! Have y’all read this? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #manga #mangarecommendation by @sailr_mars
☆ I’m right here. So don’t be scared. ☆ Run Wild: Sa Ye (Vol. 4) @sevenseasentertainment I love this entire story and how they’ve slowly started to fall in love. I love how they support each other through their trauma with laughter. I love their playful banter and sincerity. I love their forward communication and unabashed affection for each other. This volume in particular has lodged its way deep into my heart. The juxtaposition of Jiang Cheng trying to hold onto the only thing he has left in this world to keep himself grounded and Gu Fei trying to push down any hope of taking flight is so beautifully written. I’ve heard that volume 5 will bring me pain and will be heavy on the heart so I know I should probably wait to read it until vol 6 (the final volume) comes out in October, but I will be reading it IMMEDIATELY cause I miss them already. Have y’all read this danmei? If not I HEAVILY recommend that you do, it will definitely leave an impact! ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #danmei #danmeirecommendation #runwildsaye by @sailr_mars

☆ They were overflowing with the love of bonded mates ☆ The King’s Beast (Vol 18; Final Volume) @vizmedia (Rated Teen) This dark fantasy shojo series comes to an end with all the fluff we could have asked for after all that drama and fighting. Rangetsu and gang get the happy endings they all deserve (plus some super cute bonus stories). I’m sad to see it come to an end but I’m also happy to get this limited edition with the illustration collection! Have y’all read this? ⭐️PARTNERS⭐️ @whatmillieread @px4manga @thewhelmedlife #manga #mangarecommendation by @sailr_mars
