YUNG MAGAZINE FALL 2026. THE HUMAN ISSUE.

“My role in life has completely changed from being a daughter to now I’m just me.”

For Egyptian actress @taraemad , losing her mother changed everything. Her relationship with herself, her understanding of home, and the way she chooses to move through the world.

Some things, though, remain untouched by time. The garden they once tended together. The Turkish coffee she still makes every Friday. The conversations she continues to have with someone who is no longer physically there.

Behind a career spent playing different characters, Tara is learning to navigate a role no one could have prepared her for.

And when asked what she protects most fiercely these days, her answer is simple.

“My peace of mind.”

For YUNG’s Human Issue, Tara Emad on love, loss, and the parts of ourselves we carry forward.
