It was enormous, aggressive, and I would spend hours mesmerized by its divine design. In time, I lost my fear of it. I handled it freely and spent countless hours lost in its tiny eyes. We were both fascinated by one another. It was a creature designed to kill, yet as fragile as paper. I wanted to transform that fragility into an eternal symbol, and so the metallic alchemy began.
