I’m sure it was in the fine print somewhere, but jersey giveaway day with a picture of a Harry Potter jersey and we got swept up in the magic… Oh well; still love baseball, but feel like a muggle.

This is a little different from my usual weather and stem posts, but I hope you’ll indulge me for a minute. ❤️ There’s actually some really beautiful science behind the music we love as teenagers, and how deeply it becomes tied to our memories and who we are. And for me, that music was Céline Dion. I listened to her almost obsessively in my early teenage years. I knew every word to every song. Her music was such a huge part of my growing up. When we learned she was sick, and especially after watching her documentary a few years ago, I really thought I’d missed my chance to ever see her sing live. And that broke my heart a little. So to be standing there, in Paris, all these years later, hearing those songs in person? I don’t even know how to explain it. It was everything. Honestly, a dream come true. I’ve watched this video (and about a hundred others I took that night) over and over, and I cry my little eyes out every single time. I’m tearing up just writing this. There’s something so humbling about getting to experience something your younger self dreamed about. And for so many reasons, I wish I could go back and tell teenage me that one day we’d be there. ❤️ Anyway, I know this isn’t my usual content, but I hope you’ll indulge me and watch a little piece of one of the most special nights of my life.
