Today I’m cooking my favourite beans stew “Red Red” for you 🇬🇭 I promised you 6 episodes of #DanceAndCook 😜 What should I cook for you next Saturday! ❤️ Ingredients: Black eyed peas Baking soda (optional- cooks faster) Palm oil 2 large onions Momoni or fish 1 scotch bonnet pepper Garlic cloves 1 red bell pepper Tomato paste 2 tomatoes Meat stock 1 Bayleaf Salt Seasoning cube (to taste) 1 mackreal fish (smoked is better) Plantain Kelewele seasoning (optional) Total prep and cooking time: 1.5 hours Tips: 1. Soaking your beans overnight reduces acidity and helps them cook faster 2. Adding a little baking soda to the beans helps them cook faster 3. Try to let your beans get nice and soft (but not too mushy) for best results 4. You can cut plantain in shape you want 5. These beans go really well with rice too 🤤 🎵 @bienaimesol - I’ll be ok
