It was a great honour and pleasure to once again spend some time with His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Marwar-Jodhpur and Her Highness Maharani Hemlata Rajye during their recent visit to London.

Having had the privilege of meeting His Highness on several occasions over the years, I continue to be inspired by his warmth, humility and generosity. He is not only the custodian of a remarkable legacy, but someone who is deeply admired and respected by all who know him.

As a Rathore myself, these moments hold an even deeper significance. Spending time with the head of the House of Marwar, whose history and heritage are so closely connected to our own identity, is something I consider a true privilege.

I remain especially grateful for the encouragement and support His Highness extended when we began our initiative to share the history of the Rathores. He graciously launched our very first video and recorded a wonderful message for the project—an act of kindness and support that I will always cherish.

What makes this meeting even more remarkable is that it took place during a busy London visit that included an engagement with His Majesty King Charles III, yet His Highness was still kind enough to take the time to meet us privately. Such generosity with his time and attention is something I deeply appreciate.
