It has been a surreal week of holiday with just little old me and two teenage boys. With Adam and Gus in NY, we have been a holiday ‘thruple’ and it has been very different. Normally they would have been off like a shot to make friends and avoid their parents, but they seem to be aware that I am flying solo and have devoted far more time to me than they usually would. They even got up on the dance floor with me tonight as the Saturday night entertainment were refreshingly brilliant! Touched that they care and massively value time with them. It is fascinating how family dynamics shift when one or two are missing. George and Noah have wrestled in the pool a lot, had the odd irritation, but have never been closer. 🥰 My heart is full! Can’t wait to join forces on Monday and be a five again but this has been a special week!
