193rd Legion aka “the Goldkeepers”

This legion had a unique and fascinating story during the Clone Wars. Although part of the Grand Army of the Republic, the equipment and armament were almost entirely funded by a rich monarchy hosting republican mining activities, located on planet Iskander in the Outer Rim. Following the First Battle of Geonosis, the king was concerned of a Separatist invasion of his mineral-rich world, so he actively contributed to the creation of a legion, requesting that it be stationed on his planet to ensure order and stability in the name of the Republic.
The command of the 193rd was given to a young Pantoran Jedi Master, Ryina Solai, along with Commanders Horus and Midas, the latter known for the unique use of a vibro-blade. The legion kept Iskander and its resources safe from the CIS and also participated in the Outer Rim Sieges. The clones were decorated with golden markings as a tribute to the royal family of Iskander and as a symbol of wealth and nobility.
Unfortunately, things changed when Order 66 was issued: Master Solai managed to defeat Commander Midas in a duel, only to be taken down shortly after by Horus. The 193rd occupied Iskander and declared it part of the new Empire. How ironic… the king found out too late that he had contributed to his own occupation and downfall.
